Family Reunion!

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our plans for the KTA Family Reunion this coming weekend. Anyone that was planning to attend is invited to come by our office on Aug 1st. Please call DAN at 360-909-8148 to let us know you would like to come by and we will be there to meet you.

We are working on putting together our first family gathering for all of our adoptive families. We have been looking at options on what to do and where we can all get together here in the Vancouver/Portland area.

We have set our dates for the reunion as the weekend of
July 31 - Aug 2nd, 2009

We certainly would be happy to have any of our families drop in for a visit any time or come and stay a few days earlier or later too.

We will have a group function over lunch on Saturday, Aug 1st. We have space reserved at WSSB for the day so we can hang out as long as we want. We will have access to indoor and outdoor eating areas, a large grassy area and a large covered play structure that is accessible.

We are looking into a bus trip to either the Columbia River Gorge (half day) or up to Mt. St. Helens (full day) for either July 31 or Aug 2nd. Depending on how many people want to go, and which trip we take, there my be a small fee per person. If you are coming and interested in one of these trips, please let us know asap so we can have time to make the arrangements.

Possible other activities to do as a group would be:

Bus tour / sightseeing in the Columbia River Gorge

Bus tour to Mt. St. Helens to view the crater and Visitors Center

A river cruise on a sternwheeler up the Columbia or Willamette Rivers

A trip to the Oregon Zoo and/or Children's Museum

Head out to the coast and see the Pacific Ocean / Tide pools / Lighthouses / Play on the Beach / Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Marine Research Center

A day at Clackamas Water Park

Visit Oregon Trail Interpretive Center

Whether you want to come out to visit us for a day, or come for a week or more, there are LOTS of things to do!

With the Pacific Ocean, Columbia River Gorge and Cascade Mountains all within 1-3 hours driving time there are plenty of Hiking and Sightseeing opportunities. Seattle is about a 3 hour drive as well. Within another hour or two you can get to the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound to the North or to Crater Lake or the Coastal Redwoods to the South. The Oregon Trail to the East has several Museums and Interpretive Centers as well as Historic Towns to visit.

We want ALL of our wonderful families to JOIN us for what will be a Fabulous Weekend!
